Job Description
Job duties may include:
- Apply fireproofing materials in new and existing commercial construction applications
- Inspect work to ensure the installation is complete per approved shop drawings
- Able to complete masking and tarping responsibilities
- Able to read and understand thickness and structural drawings
- Perform mixing of plaster material to desired consistency
- Apply scratch, brown or finish coats of plaster to walls and ceilings for a uniform finish
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe environment
- Able to work from elevated platforms (e.g.,lifts, scaffolds)
- On-the-job training offered
This position is safety-sensitive.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-year previous experience
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be comfortable working from heights and elevated platforms such as scaffolding or lifts
- Able to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside
- Physically able to perform assigned tasks
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time
- Ability to perform basic math
- Must have reliable transportation
