Branch Safety Engineer

Job Description

PCI is seeking a Site Safety Representative for its PCI Memphis 142 operations based in Memphis, TN. This individual will be responsible for the following duties:

• Promote safety, safe work practices, and behaviors to instill an injury-free culture throughout all site and field personnel
• Assist the branch/site with implementing and administering the company’s accident prevention plan, policies, and procedures, including safety resources such as training, expertise, and guidance
• Represent PCI and participate in Safety Committee activities
• Assist in identifying, correcting, and mitigating routine and non-routine safety and health hazards
• Ensure company and client safety reports and documentation are submitted timely and per client requirements and expectations
• Council and coach workers to gain compliance with the accident prevention plans, policies, and procedures
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential safety health hazards
• Conduct job site inspections and periodic audits to establish and evaluate compliance
• Responsible for investigating and evaluating injuries and illnesses for the project site
• Convey a professional and positive attitude as the safety representative of the plant site and corporation
• Evaluate and approve safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE)

This position is safety-sensitive.

Basic Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years of construction experience
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Prolonged periods standing and working outside
• Physically able to perform assigned tasks
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time
• Local to the Memphis metro area

Preferred Requirements

• Bilingual - Spanish speaker 
• OSHA 30 certification
