Temporary Tax Assistant

Job Description

Performance Contracting is seeking a Temporary Hourly Tax Assistant for its PCG Corporate Tax 980 operations based in Lenexa, Kansas. This individual will:

Job responsibilities include:

• Prepare sales and use, income, and property tax returns for jurisdictions throughout the United States
• Respond to and resolve jurisdictional inquiries and correspondence
• Perform tax account reconciliations and resolve any exceptions
• Provide customer service to support branch operations
• Participate in team trainings designed to further develop tax technical and interpersonal skills

Basic Requirements

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting, data analytics, or tax
• Available to work a 40-hour work week during the winter
• Ability to work in the US without sponsorship

Preferred Requirements

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills; Experience with Alteryx, CCH-Sales Tax Office, OneSource RS Express, or PowerBI is a plus
• Dedication to delivering a quality work product that is prepared with great accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
• Ability to develop strong relationships and partnerships with fellow team members and coworkers
