PCG is seeking an experienced Marketing Communications Manager for its Strategic Development & Marketing Department based at our Corporate office in Lenexa, Kansas. This individual will oversee the Marketing Communications function, including strategic marketing, multimedia and graphic design production, and external communications.

Responsibilities

This position will lead a team of marketing communications professionals and partner with individuals at all levels of the organization to develop, implement, and execute an organization-wide marketing strategy that increases market share, revenues, and profiles. You will have opportunities to be creative, strategic, and impactful in shaping the future of marketing communications at Performance Contracting. As a part of our team, you will work independently, as a team member, and a team leader in a fast-paced environment. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design, develop, and deliver the organization’s marketing strategy.
  • Plan, coordinate, and direct marketing efforts. Oversee activities that raise customer awareness of organizational offerings.
  • Push the organization forward by partnering with stakeholders in business development and sales. Understand and implement marketing concepts, competitive analysis, proposals, and more. 
  • Provide strategic input and support in preparation of customer presentations and executive speaking engagements. 
  • Facilitate market research to understand potential markets, projects, customers, and more. 
  • Develop and execute organizational brand strategy and campaigns.
  • Create and manage advertising campaigns.  
  • Maintain project profiles.
  • Prepare and submit company or project award applications. 
  • Continuous improvement in area of responsibility through participation in development opportunities, industry events, relationship building opportunities, and more. 
  • Demonstrate an ownership mindset. Explore opportunities to enhance the marketing communications function and value proposition. 
  • Coach, mentor, and develop individuals and teams in marketing communications. Foster a culture of collaboration. 
  • Develop relationships with organizational stakeholders to promote the marketing communications function, services, and resources.

Basic Requirements:

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience
  • 5+ years of managerial experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related discipline
  • Ability to learn and adapt
  • Excellent communication skills- written, verbal, listening and interpersonal
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong time management and project management skills; ability to create schedules and meet deadlines effectively
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and effectively individually
  • Ability to multitask and manage several projects concurrently
  • Enthusiasm for providing excellent customer service and building strong relationships while maintaining professionalism
  • Knowledge of effective marketing communications practices
  • Willingness to take initiative and be accountable
  • Computer literacy; experience working with Microsoft 365 applications
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software

Preferred Requirements

  • Construction industry experience
  • Local to the Kansas City Metro area
