Performance Contracting Inc. seeks Senior Project Engineer at its facility located at 107 Hermes Rd, Suite 150, Malta, NY  12020.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Create and implement job schedules, coordinate with field supervisors and foremen, and effectively communicate issues to negotiate the optimal position for our trade in the work sequence.  Create and manage punch lists and job closeout documentation.  Actively participate in the safety plans and measures of the branch and assigned projects.  Understand and follow all PCI guidelines related to corporate safety program.  Understand and be accountable for the quality control measures outlined in the QA/QC program for assigned projects.  Prepare RFI’s, submittals, and shop drawings.  Understand building systems and how they relate to the building process.  Understand how to navigate and coordinate activities to maximize productivity and efficiency.  Perform quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders.  Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance; using tools to make adjustments as necessary to maximize profits.  Coordinate warranties and O&M’s.  Assist in selecting the vendors and coordinate materials and equipment.  Assist in the buyout of subcontractors, issue contracts, and proactively sequence and manage the subcontractor’s work including billings and change orders.  Complete and be accountable for the job cost control measures through monthly financial analysis worksheets (FAW’s) on assigned projects.  Support the branch through positive customer relations and active participation in the customer alignment plan.  20% domestic travel required.  100% Telecommuting permitted.

REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Construction Management, Construction Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years of experience as a Project Engineer or related occupation in the construction industry.  Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Analyzing construction drawings and specifications to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders; (2) Utilizing construction sequencing and logistical knowledge to create and implement job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors; (3) Managing quality control plans using technical knowledge of architectural finish products and specifications; (4) Monitoring and categorizing project costs and develop accurate financial projections; and (5) Analyzing construction documents to submit Requests for Information (RFI’s), document and communicate changes, and provide red-lines and as-built drawings at completion of project.

RATE OF PAY:          $114,920 per year
