Job Description

Job duties may include but are not limited to the following: 

• Assemble, install, and analyze defects, and repair boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, vats and duct work in the field
• Repair or replace defective parts using hand and power tools, gas torches, welding equipment, and may operate metalworking machinery to repair or make parts
• Dismantle leaky boilers, patch weak spots with metal stock, replace defective sections, and strengthen joints
• Properly use chain falls, come along tools,and other rigging equipment
• Follow and employ the correct use ofall crane/rigging hand signals
• Read and interpret prints and plans
• Required to have all boiler-making and structural fitting hand tools and be experienced with associated power tools
• On-the-job training offered

This position is safety-sensitive. 

Requirements 

• Minimum 1 year of previous experience 
• Must have experience using chain falls, come along tools, and other rigging equipment
• Must be able to read and interpret prints and plans
• Possess knowledge of all crane and rigging hand signals
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to perform basic math
• Able to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside
• Physically able to perform assigned tasks
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time
• Must be comfortable working from heights
• Must have reliable transportation
